Mixed Start for Kings

The first games of the season kicked off this week, seeing all Kings senior teams in action.

Kings A started the season with a comfortable victory at home to Ashby A, winning 59-36, though will be disappointed to not rack up more points in the first half in what at times was an offence that stuttered with pacing, spacing and shot selection. The best basketball was seen in the 2nd and 3 quarters, as Kings started to play more flowing transitional basketball which was capped off with an emphatic dunk.

Kings B took home their first Win of the season away at Gateway, coming out 52-49. A tight game throughout, it was a game that was going to test well Kings could compete in Division 3 with Gateway coming 3rd in that division last season. This game also saw a number of players make their basketball debut!

The Kings women's team also got their season off and running, but sadly couldn't take home the victory in a narrow loss. The Women's team will surely make amends soon.
